Thanks for starter motor help

I have 1660 crossflow engine mounted in a Reliant Rebel, the engine is high compression so the inertia starter had a lot of trouble turning it over when engine cold.Read all the posts on the forum and horror stories about different no. of teeth on flywheels and starter motors. Thanks to a person called Alfas on the forum, I contacted Cambridge Motorsports who made me up a pre engaged starter motor to fit. They just wanted no. of teeth on flywheel and starter motor and the distance between mounting and back of flywheel. The motor has adjustable mounting for the solenoid assembly so you can position it for best clearance in your car, a bonus for my installation. So thanks to Alfas for pointing me in the right direction and John at Cambridge Motorsports for making up the motor. No problem with starting now!
