60 years of the Cortina/Spring issue of Classic Ford out now

60 years ago the Cortina was launched, changing the motoring world forever. The Classic Ford Spring 2022 issue ó out now ó is dedicated to the iconic family car, packed with model guides, buying tips and more!

Having owned Cortinas more than any other model of Ford, weíll admit to being slightly biased towards Fordís favourite child. But even if you arenít, thereís no denying the impact this ground-breaking car had on the European motoring scene and more importantly for us, the global classic Ford hobby.

Every Blue Oval road car that came after it was influenced by the Cortina in one way or another. It kick-started Fordís world dominance in motorsport for over four decades, and mobilised whole generations of families right up until the 1990s ó long after the Cortina name disappeared from the sales charts. What other car, Ford or otherwise, can claim to have done that?

Its importance canít be underestimated, which is why weíre celebrating the Cortinaís 60th this issue, along with special displays at the Classic Ford Show on July 10 and Ford Fair on August 14 ó join us in the celebrations if you can!
