Tachometer Capr MK1 pre facelift; connection points?

    Hi, fellas.

Stuck on a tachometer in my MK1 Capri.

Stock tach, V8 with an ignition box. Think I may have to use the + to the coil in a loop to the tach; however:

I have no clue as to where the wires should go. I do not have the GT loom, so the sockets/ connectionsneed to be made.

If you look at the attached pic; there is a spike with a small spade at each side. What goes there?

Then it's the single big spade (I have painted a + right beside it); what goes there?

I have no clue, and either have the ones I have asked earlier....

Hope you're able to see the pic...

I know its not of much help, but I have a set of 4cyl clocks up for sale and from the photo on my phone of the back (parts are in the garage), it looks like the spike connector has a clip of sorts connected with a white wire running through it which has bulley connectors on either end and is about 25cm long in total. I know thats probably useless information, but maybe the wire colour gives a clue!
