Re: 1.6 pinto ???? Big spec
I'll hazard a guess at 150bhp, but could be wrong.
But why bother with 1600, why not just build a 2.0ltr?

Re: 1.6 pinto ???? Big spec
It's for rally use, so 1650 cc with 8 valves is the max for class 10.

Re: 1.6 pinto ???? Big spec
Ok, right I get that.
But then why not build a crossflow, it's a better engine in 1600 form?

Re: 1.6 pinto ???? Big spec
I have all the pinto stuff , then when I'm finished with class 10 I can move to class 12 with simply changing the bottom end for a 2.0 pinto block .

I am very surprised that one of the Pinto experts hasn’t commented on your request. There’s a full thread under the engine building section on here, 1700 Pinto back on, I suggest you read that.I don’t know how to put a link to it as I am crap with computers.
A two litre head’s going to be no use with a 1600 bottom end as you’ll never manage to get the compression high enough, you’ll need at least a 1600 head. High Dome pistons never seem to work with a Pinto as Powermax found out in the late 70’s.
