    G3 Escort - Titan RWD Mk3 Escort - V6 rebuild conversion

    Hi all,
    Don't really know where to start from but here goes...

    I picked the car up in 2012 to use for road rallying but soon after having it the MSA chose to ban cars that had been converted to RWD, therefore the decision was made to go stage rallying...

    Over the 10 years iv constantly been developing the car in many different ways and the spec of it has improved no end along the way. The previous couple of years its really turned into a competitive 2L class car having multiple class wins including an overall event win and just last year we took the UK Protyre asphalt championship class win and escort challenge win. Unfortunately the car took a bit of a knock on the Pokerstars event on the isle of man which put us out of the last round and subsequently has forced it into a full rebuild. So to cut a long long story short il start from here on in and upload some images iv taken along the way.

    Iv also decided to change engine and class from the 2000cc ST170, I'm putting a 3L Duratec V6 in from the S type jaguar.

    I would just check the Regs with the MSA before putting such a big CC engine into a small engine car. Them lot love killing Home made specials off.

    yea don’t they just! All is fine though as we’re on a Cat2 logbook with the car so opens us up to go over the +25% capacity rule.

    delay with the pictures, uploaded a load onto Photobucket then realised you can’t share from there anymore.. doh! Any idea where you can upload and share from now?

    Engine mounted using vibra technics Sierra cosworth engine mounts, gearbox tunnel and bulkhead modified to house the engine further back and lift the box up high

    With the engine mounted it allowed me to press on with some of the trick bits, had a pair of exhaust manifolds made to fit within the limited space we have (very tight down the side of the steering column / starter motor)

    Also had a set of inlet manifold adaptors made and built my own throttle body kit using some Jenvey tapered SF bodies

    Fabricated a strut brace to clear the bodies

    And had the exhaust system built

    Had a bellhousing made from an original cut of the Jaguar gearbox to suite the 60g sequential

    Made an alternator mount to suite a traditional Ford alternator

    Had an oil feed fitting machined to take the AN10 dry sump pump feed as Iv used the original jaguars engine mounts which house the oil filter and cooler. Iv cut this down and blanked them and now send the oil straight through

    Also had my TTV flywheel remachined to suite the latest style AP billet 7.25” clutch

    With the fabrication and dry build finally finished it was off for paint
