• This MK2 Ford Escort 1600 Sport is a genuine UK supplied car, which has been extensively restored under previous ownership.
• The odometer displays 32,883 miles, however this is not warranted, and the car’s true mileage is believed to be 132,883 miles.
• Supplied new by the Hangar Motor Company in 1977, with 4 previous owners, the car was purchased by myself in December 2021, and has been treated to a number of improvements since, including the fitment of various new parts.

• This Escort 1600 Sport is finished in Signal Green over a black, cream, and green cloth and vinyl-trimmed interior with a black dashboard and door cards.
• It rides on a set of new 7x13-inch four-spoke ‘RS’ alloy wheels, with brand new Yokohama A539 tyres.
• The car benefits from an earlier restoration which included a paintwork strip down, bodywork strengthening, welding and painting, with the original glass retained. At the same time, the engine was fully rebuilt and re-bored with new pistons and bearings, and the crank was polished, sports exhaust also fitted. The car was also fitted with AVO suspension, track control arms, and a high-ratio steering rack, whilst I have replaced the front grille, the rear window rubbers, the alternator, the gear gaiter, the fuel filler neck, the rear lowering blocks and the spring shackles, and has also fitted new front lowering springs.
• The car is accompanied by its original handbooks, delivery sheet, some service invoices, and a selection of MOT certificates dating back to 1980.

• I am not aware of any bodywork damage. The car retains its original window glass.
• Having been resprayed, the Signal Green paintwork is in generally excellent condition. There are two blemishes on the roof and a crack in the paint at the top of the passenger door, which has been touched in.
• Inside, the cabin presents well, with some discolouration and wear on the fabric upholstery. The dash top is slightly worn and discoloured, and the carpets present very well having been replaced.

Overall a very presentable and useable MK2, but please remember this is a 45 year old car.
