Blacktop, will a standard ECU adapt to throttle bodies?

    Hi all

Does anyone know if a standard ECU will have enough adaptability to cope with motorcycle throttle bodies on a 1.8 or 2.0 Zetec? Does it matter if Silver or Blacktop? I will be rigging up the MAF TPS and all other required sensors as they should be. It’s destined for a 1969 Lotus Elan +2. It’s on a budget. I know I can go out and get an Omex or similar, but the standard ECU’s are a sophisticated setup, and I just want the engine to start and run in any weather. Just like a standard car!

Many thanks for advice and guidance in advance!

Apologies, this should be in the Zetec forum! Dangers of posting from an iphone!
