i got a 4 liter rover v8 in my escort and still have an english axle,

it aint supercharged tho, and i don't use 1st gear but its holding up well.

i am going to put an atlas axle on but to get it on a cortina it will need to be shortened,

i would speak to fostek http://www.fostek.co.uk/

i got the standard mk1 gt axle but with vented discs on my mk1 cortina v8.2.8 disc and calipers up front.the supercharger could well push it to breaking point though !!

i got 2.8 capri front brakes and standard drums on rear, no servo.

i don't think you will need more, if you think about it, your car isn't getting any heavier.

Have you got any pics of when you had your v8 in mate? Wanna know where abouts and how much of the bulkhead needs to be cut out? I'll get some pics up as soon as I can figure out how to do it

Mines a 4 door mate wish I could of found a 2 door but hey got this one cheap so can't grumble really. I still like them in the 4 door anyhow. It does need alot of body work and that but it's keeping me busy. I'm trying to source some new sills for it at the moment if anyone knows where I can find some? The rest of the body work I can just cut back and replace.
