Can anyone recommend which brand of replacement sills to use as i,ve heard some are made of thinner metal than others ?

Well, the better quality ones are Expressed Panels. The quality is reflected in the price as well.

The Magnum sills are essentially MOT repair panels from back in the day. Really designed to fit over the originals. I used them because I didn’t know better. They needed a fair bit of messing about to fit nicely as a complete replacement having removed the rotted out originals, which had had repair sills put over the top all those years ago which is why initially the magnum panels looked just right.
There’s a few places where I wished I’d used Expressed Panels.
