What's type of diff is this?

    Hi

I've found this lurking in my garage and it doesn't look like my other English Diffs. It's heavier for a start. If it's not Engish, what is it?

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

It's possibly a mk1/2 transit diff. What are the numbers on the casing and crownwheel and pinion?

Right. I've just been for another look and it's definately an LSD. However, it's not an English Diff as it's larger but it is a 4.11. It also takes 25 spline half shaft (not 22 spline English). The flange has 8 holes, which appears to allow a small or large prop-shaft flange to fit.

    The numbers:

    Crown wheel 72VB 4210-aa 9-37
    Casing 81VB 4025-AB (I think, it's quite corroded)

    Any ideas?

The V8 (hot stox, spedeworth F1) stock car boys do. I'm not sure about the real Brisca F1's, I think they use the twin wheel type axles.
