Let me know if you need any more help with this
Okay, for start I have to find 3 missing little springs, obviously they flew around then i will let you know about progress many thanks for now
Yes I thought you might be missing a few bits. It’s really straightforward for put back together once you get all the bits together.
Let us know how you get on and shout if you need help
Thank you, I put it back together without problems... But I still got problem, the positions "lock, acc, on" works everytime, the "start" position has some problems with "weak" contact and works in lets say 3/10 tries...I cleaned the contacts and still the same.
Is it possible that the starter has some sort of problem?
Well done for getting it back together.
Before you move off to other parts you need to confirm the ignition switch is 100% otherwise you could end up chasing your tail.
Have you got a multimeter ? Place it on the input (Red) and check the ignition output one of the black wires. I can double check for you if you’re not sure but it will be a couple of days. The output terminals are numbered and correspond to the wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual if you have one. Once you confirm correct operation then move on but one section at a time.
I’ll keep an eye out here for your posts
If you haven’t got a multimeter rig up a bulb holder (12v) connect one side to the output you’re checking and the other side to ground/chassis if the bulb lights it’s good. The problem could be simple at the switch, just the back plate with the terminals being loose if you’ve not tapped the little tabs that hold it in place over far enough allowing it to move and break the internal contact
