Joe Stevens / Bluesprint motorsport.........Good or Bad

Has anyone used this engine builder for a YBT.
    Your thoughts good or bad.

Joe at Bluesprint/Hartpower is fantastic mate.
He built my 2.3 N/A YB and it made great power. He is a really nice bloke to chat to and always has time for you.
    Highly recommended mate.

Cheers pig, think this will be the route i will take for rebuilding my engine.
Even though he is about 160 miless away, seems it's worth the effort.
    Thanks for the input

Re: Joe Stevens / Bluesprint motorsport.........Good or Bad

Ive bought a few bits off Joe over the years and he is a proper nice fella to deal with, no bullshit and supports Man U so he cant be a bad fella can he pmsl.
But if for whatever reason you dont go with Joe for your engine, I see by your location that your in Derbyshire, have you thought of NMS?? Norris Motorsport (Karl) hes mapped my engine for me and builds engines to whatever spec' you want and can then map it for you when its in the car, similar to Joe really, no bullshit & no raping of the arse and I can highly recomend him, either of those 2 will see you sorted tho

Re: Joe Stevens / Bluesprint motorsport.........Good or Bad

Yes spoke with NMS quite a bit, cant put my finger on it but he seems to want to build from new items ie..told me to look for a NEW escort cosworth block. Like a needle in a hey stack comes to mind, wanted to sell me a new head also at £££££££££.
I have a donor car already. and he said even that the rear brakes that i will need for the conversion will be knackered.
Building from new is great if you can get the parts, and at a reasonable price, otherwise we have to make do with what we can get.

Can't recommend Joe enough. Always sorts our engines out for us. And is far cheaper than all the others out there. Some people bad mouth his work, but your gonna get that in all business's.
If you see his workmanship on the Yb engines and then look at the F1 engines he has built then you will get an idea of what he is capable of doing.
