    etch primer choice

    are there any recomendations at around £15 a litre ?

    im looking at ebay as localy paint is expensive but i only recognise upol acid 8 but its £30 L


    theres also a few 2k 2L packs

    Get 2k if possible, that's what I was recommended as it cures so to speak because it's activated so should be a bit more durable than single pack

    Did my car with the one in the first link in this thread.
    I would certainly be happy to use it again.

    The link in the second post doesn't make sense to me. It says it is self etching primer with high gloss finish. Why would you want a high gloss finish in all those different colours if it's a primer?

    Etch coat is usually just a good dusting followed pretty much straight away with filler primer.
    Etch is not a coat as such, just a good base to stick a filler primer onto. You don't have to use etch (but I would).

    thanks dave (both) i think the add has leftovers from other 1k paint adds he does !
