Talking Hello from a new classic ford owner

    Hi all
i have just brought a 4 door mk2 escort 1600 ghia, this is my first classic car I have ever owned.
It looked in ok condition apart from drivers door had been eaten by rust from 18 years worth of wet news paper on it.
The car is now striped and on a spit and Safe to say is worse then first thought, so buying my first classic ford has now turnt into my first restoration.
i will be keeping a log of everything that is done so watch this space for pictures and questions that I am sure someone here will be able to answer.

Thank you for reading my first thread of hopefully many.

    Hello thanks
Is there a way to tell that it's a early mk2, or is it just because i said 1975. I do not know too much about old fords yet but learning more every day, I have some help by a mate that is helping me, and has done a orange mk2 2door that is meguiars advert car so sure he will teach me as I go, anything else I'm sure il be able to find out on turbo sport.

N was a switchover reg, late MK1s and early MK2s were registered that year. I haven't seen a N reg MK2 in years!
