My name is Kieran i live in Cork southern Ireland.I been a member of the forum for a while but watching not contributing,thought it was time to introduce myself.I am currently building a Mk2 Escort zetec.Have been plugging away for quite awhile now but progress is slow (to say the least).i'd nearly be afraid to post pics of the build for fear of ridicule lol.if i feel brave enough i'll start throwing up a few.. Have a quick question as i'm on How the hell do you fit diamond brackets to the axle (am using an english axle) do they have to be cut to fit them on?? This may be a dumb question but i cant see how they go on,i have trawled the web and can only find threads on link box placement but nothing on actually fitting the brackets..any help would be appreciated.Cheers.
P.S great site excellent tech info and projects,always my first resort when i'm struggling with technical stuff...whuch is all the time..

Cant answer the question but there's sooo many really helpful escort lads down in the rebel county that you might be able to go to one of their meets or workshops and check something out.. very helpful bunch on www.irishescortclub.com
Is it a Cork built car or? Chassis number begins with CEAT if it is..

I am a member of that forum too but rarely frequent it.Am actually spending most of my time on the car.will post some pics soon must get my head around the forum first as to where i post the pics.cheers for the reply tho.The car is english i think, must double check that tho.

I wish I lived over there mate, all those tarmac Rally Escorts and the best roads in the world. Yes you have to the cut the brackets....well I did on mine.

cheers for the advice lad.ya we have some of the best roads and a tarmac event nearly every weekend,but its a trade off with our poxy weather. it does make the sideways action all the better tho. cheers again lad. i do a bit of amateur photography as well and have loads of nice escort rally action shots.is there a place on the forum for rally pics?
