its been done, engine spins the wrong way round hence why its not used, but some cleaver irish blokes managed to get it running spinning the other way round.

The Honda K20a2 engine fitted to the Honda civic type r (EP3) turns clockwise the correct way for rwd. You may have problems with bell housing/adapter plates, i would check with dmrr( see link below)

Surely they all run clockwise, I know the engine and box is in backwards but I sure they don't run backwards

The link above makes reference to a b series 1600 engine pre 2001, and yes they do turn anticlockwise, hence the gearbox at the drivers side. In 2001 the k series engine was introduced and it turns clockwise. I have a 2003 honda civic type R (ep3) with a K20 a2 engine, and I can assure you it turns clockwise, hence the gearbox at the passenger side.

i thought the only one that tuned clockwise was the s2000 lump, all other's B series or K series turned anti clockwise
i'm gonna do some googleing.

found on honda tech
if i remember correctly , B,D,H spin counter clockwise and the K and V6 spin clockwise when viewed from the front of the engine (pulley side).

The K series in the EP3 and EP4 civic spin the right way the same as the F series in the s2000. If you look at the ep3 and 4 engine bays the engine is on the 'right side' so the engine spins the 'right' way. If you look the b series the engine is on the 'wrong side'.
hi gretto123
