Hello all. Could be a change in camping venue. Will let you all know ASAP. Think me and some others are meeting up next weekend to discuss "options". I'm happy for people to meet us on the day.

    Re: South West Moor Tour

Had a good drive around today looking for potential routes! we have decided that if we stick to a set route we will miss so many fun sections! so we will all meet in Bovey Tracey and hit all the good roads to all the nice scenic places.

Camping is in the beer garden of the plume of feathers pub in princetown. perfect location and a really nice country pub

got a few random pictures along the way today.

The temperature in 2011 was low 20s and this year was mid teens. They offer B&B accommodation if camping is not your thing.

    South West Moor Tour

Simple thing is to not come if you don't like the cold rather than clog up the thread with non constructive chat.

As for the weather that's the gamble you take with any event!

Chaps. With temperatures still at -2 night times on the moors I think I will postpone this event until later in the year. Weather is good but it's just too cold to camp on the moors. Possibly still have the drive on the Saturday for anyone local. Your thoughts please.

Sorry boys I've been out the country for a few weeks. Didn't expect the interest still. Trying To round the locals up as if there is just 4 of us I'd rather leave it until later in th year.

    Camping is still off.

    Re: South West Moor Tour

Just spoken to a couple chaps and we would rather postpone this event until June/July/August time. Make a proper weekend of it.

So this weekend is postponed. Apologies.

Sure most of us are going CF show so we can organise a new date then.

    Re: South West Moor Tour

Just a little bump for this thread for anyone who was interested then and therefore might still be now. A tour of Dartmoor will be happening in June this year, it's a weekend event with camping, the tour and a small show and shine on the Sunday and is happening over the weekend of June 23rd.

See link below for more details and tickets

    Re: South West Moor Tour

At the moment there are 34 cars booked for the Tour of the Moor.

Of those 21 are camping for the weekend and the other 13 are day visitors. In terms of numbers of people, there are 43 adults and 13 children booked to camp and a further 20 adults as day guests. Space is finite so book early if you're interested. Participation of TS members is welcome but pre 1980 Classic Ford models only please.

Mk2 Escort? No. Mk2 Escort was introduced pre 1980, it doesn't matter when your specific car was made.

Splitting hairs maybe but not from the perspective of its introduction it isn't, it's a 1980 registered car. The mk2 model (in general) was introduced in 75

Anyway. Suffice to say, any model of classic Ford that was in production by 1980 is welcome.
