Well tonight's work was trim the tub down next to the chassis rail near the anti roll bar point
Get the near side front sill skid ready for fitting ready to be welded on bit of black rattle can to help stop it rusting a bit just a quick grind and so spray od cooper weld through then stick the rear section on
Did spend a fair while getting the surface rust off the front of the after it sat outside custom cages in the rain ?

Well here goes the hard bit now as we have started to get the mock millington engine in, it have taken an evening just to make it look and sit in what we think us the right place

What are they worth then ? And it's a custom made two piece prop shaft
put it this way they fit cossies and the last one i saw was £400
Well all I can say is feck me it's hard work working out where the best place to fit the engine in the car in the wright position FFS
Now I thought my tunnel was going to be big enought to house a lorry gearbox oh how wrong Was I lol
So apparently the Tractive is a bit of a fat bugger so some mods have to be made to get it to fit
Oh well you live and learn as was only going to fit a Tran-x SL72 dog box

A bit of a late one tonight opps 03.30 might be a tad late getting home from the workshop
Anyway time to fit the propper engine into the car now a small mode to the chassis mount kit and we will start finishing the mounts off on the engine

paul you need to speak to roy see if he has a cam cover with camshaft sensor and will it direct replace your top if so a set of coils and sensor ready to make it cop & sequencial

Yep it will go WCXM as my mate who had it before me had it on WCXM
Looks too good to have a coat of paint so that them done now onto the gearbox mount
Bit more done tonight started finishing off the front section of the exhaust tunnel, now that's tacked in we can start on the rear gearbox mount then the exhaust.

Nearly finished the gearbox mount just a bit of welding, bracing and top hat inserts to fit and a pic of it sat on the Tractive
looking good!!!! doesnt need gussets !! are you going to put them on the outsides? as may foul exhaust on one side

how are you fixing it to the floor? would it not be stronger to cut the top out of the box on the sides and fix a section of slightly smaller box with threaded tubes onto the floor?
I'm having carbon floor trays so there will be plates in the floor with m8s welded to it then just k nuts to hol it up saves having to remove the trays to get the box in and out
We have just started to fabricate the exhaust onto the carto be fair it's a bit snug down the side of the gear box but it's up out of the way up there
Bit more done tonight finished off welding in the gearbox reinforcing plates and the two bolts have a bar welded on them to aid fitting on your own if need be, next job is to fit the new drivers side seat reinforcing rail onto the floor , waiting on a delivery of a load of AN-12 hose and fittings with thanks to Torques uk for a great deal oil cooler ordered and fit that too

Some more shiney bits turned up today great service from Jenvey ordered 4pm and next day delivery
And some AN-12 pipe but got a great deal from Torques Uk
shiney bits!!! have you tried the pot on the bodies yet?
