nodiz pro thoughts

Evening all

I am in the process of building a mk2 more door.
It will be running a 2ltr zetec , i have been looking at megajolt/megasquirt to run it as these seem the most easiest and most common. How ever a new ignition managment has come up, it is called nodiz pro.

It seems like it might be a new alternative to the usal mega stuff. I have enclosed the web link to see what others think , as it is new there is not to much about it yet ,however i know chester sport (i think thats there name) has got a 2ltr zetec running on it and ment to be running well. They are setting up group buys for clubs at the mo to help get there name out there i guess.
I am thinking about buying it but couple more ideas would be nice

Just to add I am not linked with nodiz in anyway, just was thinking of other ideas to get my zetec up and running.

Sounds interesting, from a quick look through the specs on their website it seems to have most of the features you'd want for an ignition controller.

However, where Megajolt scores at the moment is that it's MUCH better supported, and the mapping software is excellent. Also it's all open source.
Not knocking the nodiz at all, just pointing out some basic facts.

I do also agree, for the price megajolt seems to be better, as long as you can get a edis cheap as nodiz has the built in coil drivers. I already have edis and loom so megajolt would be cheaper for me.
Give it a good year or so and i think nodiz might be better supported.
For now i might have to go with what is tried and tested with many differnt zetecs and open source maps, ive still got a few months befor i need it anyway.

Hi I work at chester sportscars and yes we do have a nodiz fitted to one of our cars (more of our demo cars are being swapped over as we speak )
the system is very good in comparrision to the megajolt we use different features are mainly listed below
16x16 map (megajolt is 10x10)
hard and soft cut limiters (megajolt is soft cut )
launch rpm control
can switch cooling fan through the ecu via temp sender
the main thing is theat the nodiz is wireless connection for mapping via bluetooth and also has the added feature of an android app for your phone for a didgi dash display that shows rpm, water temp, air inlet temp, throttle load, ignition advance
we sell the ecu in the same way as we sell the megajolt (which we still sell) for the same spec ecu its the same price. if you want the added water temp and air temp senders and assoicated loom we do them too

the mapping software is pretty easy to use you can download the mapping software from the nodiz site if you want a look
I think the group buys have stopped now was just a launch offer they had
if anybody wants to have a chat about it either give us a call at chester sportscars or give matt at m tech a ring he desigined the whole system and their support is top class with more features being added and with feedback from customers he is also looking at other things to add

the edis 4 module is the main cost that pursuaded us to have a look at the nodiz as they are becoming more and more expensive even on e bay the prices have risen now nearly 3 times as much as when we started

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone had any updates on using this Ignition ECU on a Duratec with carbies.? Is it any good.? Does it have decent mapping.? How about the Bluetooth issues.?

If you're really at the budget end of ignition.....Spitronics make cheap stuff ( fuel and sparks, but you could just use it for sparks )

Although I see on their own website there is no image of the Saturn, and the Pluto now seems to be their budget offering.

Or Megajolt....is pretty well tried and tested.

Havent heard of many using Nodiz, but on paper it looks fine.

Although more expensive, even a Link Atom would do, and would be a local supply. Even something second hand although most ecu's tend to hold good resale values

Has anyone used the Motorsport Electronics ME100 ECU.?

There’s a tuner near me that uses the nodiz systems, he’s does a lot with bike carbs and throttle bodies.
