Got loads of pictures, but ahve to go now, so will uppload more later
Nice car/project why not keep the engine Toyota 4AGE???
Looking good be nice to see it when you have finished it! well done
The 4age engine is so hard to find in Norway, so much cheaper and easier with a zetec lump...
Thanks for the comments, hopefully it will be done before this summer...
Nice work Timj! For pics, use the uploader at the top of this page. Just take the pics straight from your pc, its really easy!
Looking forward to seeing your next update

Left sill done, just need to prime and then done, over to the other side.....
Had to fix some minor damages to the body, and also reshape the rare arches... Putting on some wiiiiiiiiiide fender arches.....
Started on the other side... Rust in the same place so just fire up the
Here is the fender flares im using... A bit wide
Need them for the 9" wide rear wheels... just to bad the wheels need to be another inch wider...
Lucky im putting in a Volvo rear axel, its about one and a half inch wider than the Toyota one....
This is some of the parts going in to the car.
Zetec/T9 Bellhousing
Bike carbs
New front strut legs
T9 gearbox
Innlet manifold made by DanST Engineering, top guy and really nice work
Since its damn near impossible to find new parts for this car, I had to search the web for some new front wings, found one "barely" used one in Sweden and another one in Norway, up in the mountains....
But, the front valance/plate, was so badly infected by rust, I had to replace it.. Searched for a long time before I found a guy living 10 min from me selling a brand spanking new one
He also had a new rear panel for the car, so I picked them both up... The rear panel on the car is not to bad, but i figured, what the hell, everything new is sweet so will be changing it aswell....
Thats it for now, been sick for almost 4 weeks now, so havent done anything to the car other then cleaning up in the workshop so I can start on the damn thing again...
Also got the Megajolt today from Autosports Lab, and the exhaust manifold from Burton, so will soon be starting the job of fitting the engine and gearbox on the car...

Hehe, Im waiting aswell....
Just needs a weekend or two to get it finished for paint, but motivation is low as is the health
Loving the Toyota...............my Brother has a 1976 4 door Corolla down in New Zealand running a 260bhp Rotary engine.............lots of fun.
Not much of an uppdate, but Im trying to figure out what kind of clutch I can use... I will use the standard zetec flywheel, but dont know what else... Im thinking of buying the hydraulic clutch release from retro Ford.
Can anyone please tell me what kind of clutch and pressureplate i will need to use??
Hei.
add meg på Facebook Even eventyr
Hmmmmmm....
My Project... Fiesta D-TEC
Looks cool! Bit different! Bloody solid shell too!! Why an 1800? Why not 2000? Legal side of things? Emissions? Or harder to get hold of?
Std 1800 clutch will hold fine. Or a 2.0. With the thinner 1800 flywheel. And either mid the fork or use a diesel tranny bearing if I remember. I'll try dig up my old build and see
Sorry, 2.0 clutch and flywheel with trannt bearing. Cct133 or 1800 flywheel and clutch with early Capri bearing cct113 this is what I used but instead I opted for an Rs turbo clutch on the 1800 flywheel. Must be the 220 diameter clutch though. Hope this helps. Oh, or resell the flywheel for a pinto clutch, or spend too much money at retroford
Hi Timj,
Have got a Corolla myself as well and thinking about doing the Zetec 2.0L conversion.
Was reading your thread with uppermost interest. Do you've got any update on the build?
Or could you give me some recommendations?
Cheers, Maiko
