S2000 Air Pump Removal in the UK - Technical Content
Hi. I've an S2000 with stock ECU in an escort. I've one remaining fault code which is stopping me running the keep alive memory to the ECU.
(Right now I've no keep alive so it resets on every key start - means I have to let it warm up with the mil on, the restart to reset it - also means that it maybe starts from a base map and this is why it's so limp wristed when driven in a sprited manner (I hope!!))
So. Anyone know how the UK air pump circuit works?
Or. If anyones got a UK airpump relay (&/or the bit of loom it plugs into) I would happily buy it.
Be aware that there is a USA worksop manual out there, which shows a feedback circuit that the UK cars do not have. I'm just starting out on this one. Will happily share what I know with likeminded souls. I'm only really interested in the technical stuff though - thanks to all who read.

You need the loom and relay connected then you just bridge the connector with a resistor this will fool the ECU the air pump is there something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3801079029...d=441146223309
