I have just joined up to the site to meet more like minded people who love the mk1&2 escorts :-)
I have just bought a 1973 mk1 escort 1300gt, i will try and upload a picture but i am on my phone so it is not great lol i am moving house on the 24th of feb which has a great sized garage so untill then the escort is staying in its dry storage where it has just spent the last three years :-)

I dont know much about escorts as i am more of a fiesta man (played with a fair few mk2 & 3 fiestas) i have always loved mk1 escorts from being a kid but they are just dam expensive!!! Lol after falling on my feet with this one i cant wait to get my hands onit!!

My plans are to re paint the whole car (inside and out the same colour) stick a dark blue rs2000 stripe down (thought i would go for a change from all the other mk1 escorts) :-\ haha

Powder coat & polly bush all the running gear then wax oil everything

Not sure on engine as it would be nice to keep the original engine in but i have just bought a 2.0 zetec engine (blacktop) for cheap and i had one in my mk2 fiesta and it was awsome on bike carbs :-)
