Re: Cortina Mk1 road movie: "Cortina Cowboys"

The story behind this video is simple. Our friend from UK bought this car and I was the lucky one to go and collect the car. We shot the video last Saturday when we went to collec it. All the scenes are real, even the cop-scene... If you come sideways out from a long bend and officers happen to pass you the other direction, I'd say it's quite normal if they stop you and ask for the racing license...

Anyways, we wanted the proud new owner to have something to remember from his new car. I had a blast making the driving scenes, I was never happy, so needed to take another shoot. And another... And one more...

The car will be driven to UK next summer by the new owner. Sounds like a road trip to me and something to remember as well.

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

Next summer is now and the Cortina is in UK. Long trip back home, but it made the journey with pride and safely.

Stay tuned for Cortina Cowboys #2... Soon in theaters!

More cars, more driving, more tyre smoke... Simply better!

Re: Cortina Mk1 road movie: "Cortina Cowboys"

Basically continental Europe only, BUT RHD with 2.5/3.0 V6 Essex available from RSA. I've tried to persuade guys to import one to UK, but none so far has taken the challenge yet. UK has few examples sold through dealers, but was available really short time. USA has had these as well, mainly RS and HT models. It's a great car to drive and would love to see more people to understand it. Parts wise not that difficult you could think of, especially if with Essex engine and living in UK. All other relevant parts available via Motomobil GmbH, Germany.

Re: Cortina Mk1 road movie: "Cortina Cowboys"

It's time to upgrade this thread. Another year has passed and Cortina Cowboys #3 "Escort Service" is now mainly shot. Some of you may have seen us participating Classic Ford Show 2014 at Santa Pod last weekend. We made a five day trip to UK to shoot the scenes and have fun at the same time. 5 guys, 5 days, loads of interesting places to go and see = best trip ever!

We are genuinely taken from all the positive attention we were given. People were very helpful to participate or some other way helping us to make the new film. So very BIG thank you for all of you who helped us. We will credit you in the film too. It was so much easier to shoot the scenes as the we had the first script available this time...

It's too early to reveal the synopsis yet as there is some scenes to shoot (it may have drastic effect to the whole movie, like we learned last year). They will take place back at home here in Finland (as soon as I get my summer ride back on wheels). There will be two new classic Fords in the film too. This whole movie thing is a very good reason to keep buying new classic Fords to household, to the joy of Rachel Rich and Tina Thunder... We may need to shoot the 4th one as there is still 2 more classic Fords waiting for their turn in the shed.

You can check the latest updates from here:

    Stay tuned for episode #3!
