Re: Pinto with twin 45s what is the best cam shaft
My pinto has a injection head that’s ported with standard valves and twin 40’s and a Newman’s ph4 can, not making big power 140 ish,
I use 6” wide rims on the back and over inflate the tyres and it drifts.

Re: Pinto with twin 45s what is the best cam shaft
Ok so years ago i was using a GP1 cam ... along with a GP1 head and 48's with a stock bottom end ... it was giving 136@wheels and drove very nicely ...

Re: Pinto with twin 45s what is the best cam shaft
I've read the thread in its entirety, and have read it again.
The essence is (as I understood it until the point it got too technical for me) that you need to have your head flow tested in order to select the cam with the correct lift for this particular head. There is no way to state this or that cam is best.
And, unless you have all information about the components and geometrics used in your engine, there cannot be "the only cam" recommendation.

Re: Pinto with twin 45s what is the best cam shaft
its all about what you want from the engine, ive built a number for engines running FR30 cams and the customers love them, others swear by something more racy, some say an Ht1 which is a full race cam. the thing to to is look at where ou want the engine to make good torque and rev range you are likely to be using and go from there
