The RS 2000 Alternator Bracket has got 2 Rubber Bushes where the bottom Bolts mount on the Alternator to insulate Engine vibration.
Think the Sierra bracket puts the alt in the wrong place. ie. hits the inner wing IIRC
Ruud, the RS alternator bracket lowers the alternator so it clears the exhaust manifold. I have both the RS and the Sierra items here, can post a photo of them both if you want. Grtz, Leon.
Yes, left is std Pinto (Sierra) to the right is the RS bracket.
There are two more aluminium alternator brackets for Pinto/OHC. The numbers are 71HF-10039-CB and 71HF-10039-DA.
Where those are originally used?
Then we have cast iron bracket that was used in Sierra: 85HF-10039-AB
I have seen Bosch alternators in Sierras, but do these alternators fit to older 71HF... brackets? Or the other way round: Do Lucas 18ACR will fit to 85HF... bracket?
Where these 71HF... brackets are used?
Is there other brackets that bring alternator lower besides RS2000 H73AB-10A313-BA bracket?
