gday everyone. im about to drop a pinto in my 4dr mk2 to replace the 1600 and wondering if anyone has used a smaller radiator when doing this conversion, or just cut out the frame to allow the radiator to drop down like on escorts fitted with pintos. just after some options really, dont mind cutting into it as it will end up a daily probably and my panelvan the money pit lol cheers

A 1600 xflow rad will be fine for a standard 2.0 pinto in the UK, but we don't see ambient temps as high or as often as you guys.

Mitch, just use the 2 lt cut out. They are available locally. By the time you stuff around and try and find a suitable radiator with the inlet and outlet on the right sides you will already have had it sorted. If you have any any OZ specific based questions, you are more likely to get a detailed response on the classic-ford forum.
