Hope you have had a successful dyno by now.
Once you had you CAD model finished did you do any CFD analysis on it? I have no experience in this area but am still interested in it. I have no idea if your CAD model is of the type even to permit analysis....sort of asking questions well out of my depth

I would like to pick you brain. I have a mk1 escort race car running a pinto and currently want to manufacture my own roller rockers. I also work with Solidworks and would like to know if you drew up the geomarty of the valves and cam position. I do not have the probe to my exposal like you have. Picking up the correct angle of the valves proves to be very difficult and is not accurate enough to my liking. Any help would be appreciated.
Bit of an update
Been playing around with my carbs and ignition timing and the engines running really good now, still want to get it on the rolling road thou. But I have plans for engine management over the winter. I always want to be able to compare this engine to my old one on the 45’s. Now it's up and running and usable I think I’m going to have to change my cwp, 4.6 isn’t really very good with a torquay engine.
Regard the valve angle’s, see the drawing below, should give you most the stuff you need.

Finally got my escort on the rolling road to get this engine set up.
As my plan all along was to make a nice drivable engine with lots of torque the peak power figure was never going to impress. But it still made 135 BHP, but I'm almost hitting max torque at about 3250rpm and it runs flat till about 5250rpm before dropping off.
This new engine is about 40 BHP down on my on my last engine, but it feels quicker, We'll see what I can do the 1/4 mile in at classic ford show. I've got 14.5 to beat.
what camshaft was used? can't remember if you mentioned it.

I know this is an old thread but its a fascinating one. Did this head under go any more cnc work or valve/cam changes in the last few years?
Hi Mac just found your post. I race historic formula ford 2000 and I port my own heads. A big ask from a total stranger but would you be willing to share the basic un-ported cad file? I have cnc machinery and I have made a manual 4th and 5th axis table so that I can machine heads. We have strict rules in our series so we cannot add material only remove we are also governed by the cam and carb etc. We also have a dyno and flow bench it’s only a hobby but we take it seriously.
I’ll totally understand if you do not want to share I understand the amount of work you have put in to get where you are.
I would only only use it for myself I’m not interested in selling other people them.
I'd be interested in the cad file or an STL file. I've got into 3D printing and it would be interesting to print it out.
