After selling my previous 4 door and regreting it ever since i thought it was about time i build another,so here she is. I did rally fwds for a bit but once you are bitten by the rwd bug it hard to shake.

I am in the process of buying it as a stage rally car that is the spec its in now and would appreciate a bit of history on it.

It's been a while since I posted on here and done work on the car so I thought it was time I pulled my finger out. I've done the splash pans,drip rails,radiator cut out and also started seam welding

Put car on jig and me my nephew have been busy stripping underseal,its nearly done. I'm very pleased how solid car is,just a little welding needed Stripped axle ready for fabricationBought a cheap axle for a spare and some more laser wheels

I bought a cheap wcxm off the internet,but didn't come with the bushes when they were in the photoAlso got some sills,I don't need to use the whole sills just the ends

Finished welding gearbox tunnel and give it a coat of etch primer to stop it rustingAlso finished welding bottom of radiator cut out panel,gussets and strut topsGona seam weld inside of splash pans tomorrow and fit heavy duty bush into Sierra gearbox mountsorry about the quality of the photos,not a very good camera on my tablet

I fabricated some brackets for the heavy duty bush to sit in the gearbox mount, then tacked it into place for nowThen I cleaned the gearbox hole and gave it a lick of paintI also done a bit of seam weldingGot next week off work so will hopefully get a lot more done

Hi rich,how do? No updates sorry haven't been down the garage for a while(or on here) I've gone and bought a new 4door rolling shell ready built so this project might be changing direction(fast road)

Where did you get the heavy duty gearbox mount from ?

I had it off a Sierra mate

And heavy duty bush come off eBay

Had a few days off work so made a start on the sill/arch Then this happened Welded a few patches in Was running low on gas so just tacked in crush tubes,tramp bars and panhard rod Then repainted my struts

Put hub's on my gp1 struts,very pleased how theyve turned outHad my chassis rail skids through the post so Welded them inAlso invested in a speedglas welding mask,which I'm very pleased with

Finished the last bit of seam weldingMade a piece of metal to fit on side of panhard rod because there was a big gapHad a go at modifying the throttle,because I'm going to run a single 40 or 45 on a lynx manifold with twin cables

Ive nearly finished inner arches and sill ends both sidesAlso restored a princess 4pot caliper,using brand new pots and seal kit,also fitted spacer kit for vented disks,very pleased the way it turned out
