Type 9 Overhaul Needed.

Hi All, Just in the process of swopping from Pinto to Zetec and while the box is out i'd like someone to strip it, check it, throw any bits that it needs at it, fit a supplied raised 1st gear & layshaft and rebuild it. Next week would be good and local to Surrey / Berks / Hants ? Nothing inherently wrong with it, drives and shifts nice but I don't trust my grubby mitts in there! Got a budget of £250 so a competent DIY'er or Business - either way not fussed just trying to get the whole lot re-installed after the next B/holiday? PM me or ring 07950 686657

Quick follow up on this and a to RP Transmissions.

Robin Pretty is an old skool engineer ie. he fixes things not just replaces them.

Dropped the box off Sat. afternoon and it was cleaned, stripped, checked and re-assembled by this morning. All new seals & gaskets, new input shaft bearing and swopped out the short needle rollers for the longer V6 versions for better durability - £195 well spent for peace of mind.
