What material is it? 6061? 7075? ... Do you know what it has been heat treated to? It will bend in the brake press up to reasonable angles dependant on the hardness/spec of the material.

Re: Dural bending advise needed
I think it is 6061, I haven't had time to look at the material yet but a mate of mine says he has had a bit of experience with dural folding and he will be in charge of being foldmaster. Thanks...

Ok,If you need any help I can send you details of an easy DIY way to anneal the area of the fold to prevent cracking.

Re: Dural bending advise needed
Do you know for certain that it's Dural and not a sheet of 6082 or 5083 or similar?..because 6061 ain't Dural. Proper 'Dural' sheet will be something like 2014 (or H15 in old money) or 2048...around 4% Copper. 6061 is a MgSi alloy, not AlCu like Dural.

Re: Dural bending advise needed
I am not sure about numbers as I haven't looked at the sheet but it was ordered as Dural for a guy with an Evo but he ended up writing it off before he had chance to do anything sump guard wise.. My mate ordered it too, £160 for 1mx1mx8mm.
