Xr3 brakes on escort rear - handbrake cable solutions

Hi
My current bodged handbrake cable consists of a few welded metal bars and a piece of cable, but now I've had the watts linkage fitted there is no room for it. How has everybody else done it? Some pics would be great. As the title says im using xr3 front calipers on the rear of my escort mk2. Thanks

Fit sierra rear callilers with sierra handbrake cables. Job done.

I have used a standard mk2 cable. Made a bracket that bolts the my alloy brace to support the outter cable and then weld a little tab onto the calliper.

No problem with the brakes John, just need a cable for mot and scutinerring. Have you got any photos lee?

Will get you a couple. It's not great but does the job. It hardly holds the car. But it's there for mot and scruts

How do XR3 front calipers that don't have a handbrake facility work as a handbrake?
Ok for a track car and using a hydraulic H/brake....but mechanical?

Ive seen a few things people have done
One is to drill through the top of the pad that looks like a t
Then put a cable through with a nipple on the end
