It was my car recovery nicked ecu and the engine was dead after all the oil ran out when upside down.

Ok that makes sense, sorry to hear about it mate, so did they rip it out as soon as they picked it up " barstools ", what happened that bought it to its demise. i remember this car when it was for sale was tempted as it seemed mine was ages away from being completed.
So your right then engine will be knackered.
going down hasland dual carageway old boy pulled out clipped car rearend clipped curb and rolled on roof and slid down road for about 1/4 mile .
Sorry to hear about it mate, but thank god no-body was injured...It looked like a seriously fast car and on 175 tyres
It was an omex ecu aswell, bet their eyes lit up when they recovered and saw that.

the car was bike fast made my maserati feel like a 1.1 pop plus but ive found out cossy lumps do like dripping oil all over your drive and blowing it out when nailed. looking for one with an xe lump the massive bang from the turbo on that car was only good if in a straight line but it was quick .
Glad your ok nick thats the main thing
Must of took a bit of a blow to the head. You now want a Ford with a Vauxhall engine in it
if the ecu has gone and engine if f'ck im not going to get my brother to get it for me, its only worth about 3k max

Iv got to many of them as it is and not really got the room for another one , its a shame tho it looked a very nice escort
This is a real shame. I owned the 500bhp cossie mk1 which I sold to Pig, (orange one), bought it back from fridgeman with a hot pinto in and its twice the car it was with the cossie in. Drives properly like a mk1 escort should. Having had loads of rally cars, been there and done it, I honestly can't see the attraction of a turbo'd cossie in an old ford unless your into drag racing or sponsored by Pubsport !. Keep it n/a. Rant over !.
all i can say is the car was rock solid and fantastic for what it was built for, performance unreal and because of the quality no harm to me, if not for the group 4 welding the car would be in a lot mess than it is testament to had built it.
Main thing is that your ok bud !.
Agreed my next project is going to be N/A.
tawny.

Bought by an export company
.
seems alot of money to me.
plus vat and 5% handling charge for a seized cossie lump and no ecu .?????????????
I wonder how long it is before its up for sale with a new roof/panels and new id
Never
For someone who thinks it runs etc it still sounds quite cheap, pity the ecu and engine are damaged, a good body man could make that look great like it once was.
Carl
