    geartronics flatshift

Hi all dunno if this is the the section to ask this?
I recently installed a quaife 60g with geartronics flatshift ecu but im having trouble with the flat shift its cutting the engine on down change instead of up and the ecu reads an downshift as an upshift any ideas on this??
also i think the problem might be that 0 degrees on the potentiometer is supposed to fall between 6th and reverse but on mine its between 2nd and 3rd does this mean i have to take out the gearbox on turn the meter one turn an put it back in??

    Thanks in advance Fergus

It sounds like you're only using the pot for the shift, ie no switch? If so, the zero position is critical - sorry.

Having been there and done it before, I now set them up on the bench first.

Thanks for the reply, yes just using the pot for the shift is this ok or better to add a switch? so best thing to do is take gearbox out and set up so that zero is between 6th and reverse?
