    Hi Spec Pad fitment

    Hi

Has anyone had any Experiance with Machining brake pads? recently bought a set of M16 pads to fit My HiSpec Ultralite callipers and they are around 1.5-2mm too "Long" over all, i had this issue lasttime i changed the pads and simply used a bench grinder to remove some extra material from the backing plate, thinking that it was the cheap pads i was given by a friend. After contacting HiSpec they have advised that there is a slightly smaller pad availible for these calipers. as i allready have the M16 fitment ones can anyone see an issue with simply grinding the pads down again, the last set seemed fine after this treatment just want to be sure.

It's A common problem across the hi spec range they design the calipers around weird and wonderful pads.

Don't so a problem in adjusting them slightly it's not like your taking that much off
