Cheers, yeah they are basically national hot rods, mostly xe powered, set up for use on the circuits. As a rookie on a very tight budget its hard to be competitive but its a great series to be involved in.

It looks great fun, I used to do F2 stock cars years ago but the damage made me quit.

Yours must be a right pig Nick

I was going to try a 4.1 but went for a 3.9 in the end and it seemed about right.

I think I drive mine harder :-) I use a 3.9 but only use 2nd and 3rd gears. What lap times do you do?

Do you think you will be out this year Jezz?

Yeah mine is dry sumped but I think a properly baffled wet sump would be good enough.

I cant remember what I paid for a medical but im sure it wasn't that much. I think a lottery budget would help us all go racing

Yeah i should be out this year. I think my cage is ok but I wil have to check for sure.

Nice !! my dream to have a silhouette hot rod unfortunately i wasted half my life welding up escorts

In my Mk2 escort with a pinto and second hand 160/53/13 tyres i have run a 3.9 and a 4.1 round there seem to get regular late 47 secs > 48 dead on the lap timer. You seem to be fast in one place and slow in another with each ratio with only personal choice between the two.

I had the clock on Tommy Fields zetec Fiesta hot rod last year and on very worn tyres he was in the 45 second bracket thats very fast round there !!!
