It'd be nice if these guys had a bodyshop just down the road from me
Out for a drive on a sunny spring day reminds me why I got this car
Nice
class progress there mark, would almost pay us lads to start sending our stuff over there!! looks like a very busy shop.
Or get the lads to come over and see you on a free holiday
It's all going on at the front. The chassis is now wider than standard to match with the R35 subframe, still a lot of work to do, but you can see the way it's heading
At the back
The side getting measured up so that they can send the sample away to get folded for the panel (get rid of the windows)
TheY certainly know how to work some magic.
I like the solution with widening the factory rails.
Looking good.
Cracking work so far, moving on quickly too.
Love the way the way they use what evers to hand and not having to worry about h&s..
Jeez
That's so rubber to burn off
Nice rims though
Need some wide tyres to give the big boys a run for their money
275/40/17 on the back... 245/40/17 on the front.
Loving them wheels Mark.....
That is some serious rubber!!!
Going to be one evil van when it is done.
Keep the pics coming. Want to see how they tie in the rear section.
Shaun
Christ on a bike!!!!There wide.
Hope there is no width restrictions in your street??
Whats the pick up they came off???
this is a truly awesome thread, just lovin the way these boys operate!! keep those pics coming.
Chassis modified slightly to allow movement of top arm
Inner tubs being made
Rear floor section and chassis modified so that it does not interfere with the rear cross member
The holes are for the bolts for the mounting points on the cross member
Picture of the full car with the rear wheel fitted. Arches will be made to cover the wheels
200sx front anti roll bar and Tein adjustable tie rods

wow, hell of a lot of work going into this looks mental
Thats looking fandabbydozy
I didnt realise the wheels were going to be so far out
... Awesome project
in the 2nd last pic the van looks like one of them single seater track cars.....low n wide.....id say this must be first for a mk1 van to get such a mixture of modernism with old skool, if ya ever come home ya couldnt leave these mk1's behind mark.....love your ideas n how these guys make it work....powersteering going in there??? them wheels are bloody massive....will keep an eye on your progess......what colour are ya going??? a similar colour to the chevy van ya got the wheels from???
The front crossmember came with the skyline powersteering rack, so yeah... It's probably a good idea too with wheels this wide.
It's not being painted... Just primed for the time being as there will be a lot of stuff that needs changing when it's 'finished'
She is going to be a wide one
Wow thats low.
The pic with it up on stands kinda screams "CARLOS FANDGO" TO ME.
Waiting for the next update...
Great update.
Those rear tubs look very neat..
Fuck a duck, that's mad, it's gotta have at least a s/c v8 in,
holy shit mark, this is LOW, will this be another track weapon or just a road going van for your daily hack? i think you would be told that would be a death sentence for you if you were at home here n cutting up a van to do this.....SUICIDE DOORS would be savage of that as the van has that sort of flavour to it....i love where this is going tho.....
I don't feel so bad about cutting it up as it's rotten as a peach.
Plan is s to use it as a drift car, that's the reason behind the 17s. They are the smallest size wheel you can get wide tyres for without remortgaging the house.
I will be buying a 2JZ GTE in the next few weeks. Mild mods will see 500 horses and I should have a chance at challenging the big boys.
The white car has 220 bhp and runs 195s on the rear. It's great fun, but when put at the side of a car with big HP and wide tyres... It's lost.
No suicide doors heh heh. Practicality over looks
Nice engine choice. I was expecting an SR or even RB based engine.......
The thing will have more than enough grunt to spin those rears.
Shaun
Here's a little video, so you can get a feel for the arches...
Loving the work so far :-)
Screaming 1300 mexico rep
2JZ-GTE, fab engine choice. I loved my mkiv Supra tt.
Even if you left it completely standard it would be absolutely bonkers - unlike a 2.0 turbo like the SR or Cossie, it's not going to need to be caned to be brutally quick. Turbo 6 pot for the win
This is an amazing build ! I need to get a job in Thailand lol
its looking great well with the exception of the evo rear spoiler
I was hoping the rear spoiler joke might run a little longer Graham... You are too quick
This build Is crackers lol
They work fast dont they!
Serious money in splittie's in that shop also.
1700cc MK1 ESTATE DONE. MK1 2DR STARTED
