That's a late 2JZ you've got there, with the VVTI fitted. Post 96 I believe?

looking good...every time i look another massive chunk of car has been removed...love it...i think only the roof has remained untouched .....cheers mark
WOW mark.....thats the nuts so far on them arches.....nice little touch with the fold on the lower part....looks great n some hole in the bulkhead....are ya still keeping the petrol tank or building a new one????
I need to take a look at the tank... See what we can do with it. It's no good as standard, it will either need modifying or a new one built
Thats a lot of motor for the little escort but still seems to fit reasonably well...a remote gear shifter looks necessary or back seat steering?
JP
just wow
... Build the van around the engine makes sense now
I can see this being a Magazine Tart once running
looks tight in the bay....were the hell ya gonna sit???? dont look like much room for a decent seat in there but im sure ya got that sussed look forward to seeing the bulkhead n wings going on
looks evil
awesome progress mark. they werent long knocking up that bulkhead and tunnel!!
i need to get these lads over here for a working holiday on my van for a week, lol!!!
M11rf,
whats the work like really. Photos look pretty good but of course they are just photos. No disservice to them they are doing amazing things for you but whats the fine detail like, the quality of the welding, folds and work, given their hand made rather than machined etc. Also compared back in the uK etal whats the price like
Looks amazing, its going to be scary
JP
The fine detail is pretty good JP, the young lad is working on it at the moment and his work isn't as clean as the main 2 guys, but he's O.k. It's costing me £4000+ to have them do all the welding and fabrication work and modifications. It's slow going at the moment... Still cutting out the rust and doing stuff that isn't really exciting... But here's a few more pics.
Pedal box lined up and almost there
Repairing the A pillar
Dash board had a bit of the tin worm taken out

Coming along now
That old white escort of yours is gunna seem like a go cart to this beast
Proper beast inside a little escort, I like it
soon be time for paint???
Thats looking mental.........
good job he's a mate then, i wonder how long it'll take them to knock one up for themselves
I'm guessing their painting facilities over there are a little more 1st world? Was in Thailand last month and it must be fun working round that humidity! Bare metal must rust before your eyes!
Saw it in classic ford
Is it out in this issue? That was quick!
