Classic Ford Sprint North Weald

Hi chaps, i am organizing a Sprint day at North Weald aerodrome for 105Speed.com and Old School Ford and would like to extend this to TS peeps.
It is basically a fun day out whizzing round the cones and you can go as hard or slow as you want.
Event is open to all pre 1979 Fords and should be covered by one of the Ford based magazines.
Cost of the day is only £49 per driver, guests , pit crew, groupies are free, so you can bring the missus....or not

Hi Paul

What does the car / driver need to compete? Can you just turn up in the car and drive or do you need a helmet etc??

Hi David, once you have paid , you simply turn up on the day, sign on and drive. The various tests are set out and controlled by the staff, the area is huge so you have no chance of hitting anything (other than a cone) you dont need a lid or suit unless you want to.
This is basically a nice easy day out and gives you a chance to meet up with other classic Ford owners and beast your car legally without any plod or speedy cams to worry about.
You dont need to have a hot-rod, standard cars are more than welcome, tests last a couple of minutes then you either get on the end of the queue to go again, or nip off and do the other course.
Oh and its a pub lunch at the local (not included in the £49, sorry )

ITINERARY

09.00am
Meet on the airfield. Once most people have arrived there will be a briefing by the instructor.

9.30am - 4.00pm
A large group day with the following activities;
High speed bend.
Small circuit.
Medium Circuit
Sprint Circuit included weather/time permitting

Lunch will be at the restaurant, at around 12:00pm.

I get paid on the 15th of the month so will sort then. Is the cost per car or driver as I might let my son out in the car as we'll. are there any noise limits

Hi Andy, cost is per driver, no mate noise is not an issue, you will be drowned out by old school military jets taking off probably
