Plug Gaps Sapphie 4x4
Does anyone know the plug gap setting for a Sapphie 4x4 stage 1? I know it's a larger gap than standard.
The cars due for a service and Ford always set them to their standard setting which causes misfires!
Thanks

Oy oy Les
You sure (no doubting, but you are a couple of cans short of a four pack normally!) I thought you had to increase the gap to stop the spark being blown out?

This is the standard factory setting as printed in the glasstech guide used in garages
The tightning torque should be 28-33
The compression pressure should be 8.5
Yes its accurate

Cheers Les (and Clint)
So it looks like I got it wrong, you have to decrease the gap to stop the spark being blown out. It's a pain in the whatsit as no matter how many times you tell Bristol Street (Bromley) they always put it to standard and I drive the car away miss firing left right and centre!

Ford (maybe Champions, can't remember), there not cheap, about £8.50 each but never had any probs, don't know of any better but Clint may.

I always use Champion C59's, the gap is set to 0.6, and they don't play up like the Ford ones, which I had on the car for about 2 days before they were f*****d!

wes the champion racing plugs are a bit hard for the road, you will be better off running the Ford Platinium ones.
