Looking for a non-efi distributor
Here in the states the distributors for a vg30 (300z) are efi only.
My current project is a '72 510 wagon. I have an '86 vg30 to put in it. I took a TBI manifold off a truck, milled the top off, attached a custom adapter and put a 500cfm Holley on it. Thats right, no efi. I have custom cerma-chrome headers, the 5-speed, an 8.8 Ford rear end. Pushing the motor out to 3300cc. The Holley should be able to feed it to 8,000 rpm with no problems, which is hard to do with the stock efi when it craps out about 5,500 rpm.
The tough part is finding a non-efi distributor. I hear some countries, like Saudi Arabia, run carbs and would have the distributor I need.
Anyone know of any UK sources? Maybe a website?

Re: Looking for a non-efi distributor
Ill have a ask around, but why not run some ignition only management like DTA http://www.dtafast.co.uk these units cost about £500 for all the bits and can include launch control shift lights and aux outputs. They are quite easy to set up if you have a firm understanding of an engine.
Nice to see you here on the site.
