    Different day, same story :(

After a week of running fine its being a pig again
    Spluttering and backfiring again

While the car was stationary after it had died I was stood talking to my brother and the fuel pump buzzed all by itself then about 10 sec later it did it again and a couple more times after that. Seems like i have a dodgy connection. pointers on where to look.

Also what should happen if i disconnect the throttle position sensor ? I can disconnect it and the car will drive as if i havent done anything ???

    im not a happy chappy

Don't worry about the throttle position switch Slim i asked the same question once as mine would run ok when it was connected or not and i was told it just detects whether the throttle is at idle, or wide open in order to trim the fuel settings.
