No worries Rick must confess I used to carry passengers in the back of my Mk1 with a diagonal, it did have padding but I don't think that would have helped in the event of an accident. I think a removable diagonal is defo the way to go.

Hello mate, I have just been speaking to Keiron regarding this cage, he will be in hospital for at least 4 weeks so I have said that I will collect for him if needed, BTW where is it????

Is that picture by RickB the cage in Question???

No m8 Thats the one in my car i just fitted. U might want to copy the description Mag Has posted on here Its His M8's I'm not sure its what Mr K Wants .Rick.

"Had a look at the cage yesterday and other bits but unfortunately no pics, as I could not get hold of a digital camera. But here?s the run down.

As I said it?s not a FIA item, it?s a full cage but with no door bars or diagonal, it?s bolt in, the rear quarter bars bolt to the main hoop also that goes over the seats. It?s not in the best of condition as it has been sitting in a garage for 2 or so years. The front section bolts to the rear via welded tubing to the main hoop, so Kieron if you just want the rear you?ll have to angle grind these pieces of tubing off. Rick if you want just the front section then you?ll have to either weld the front section to yours, ask Kieron nicely to let you have the piece cut off and weld them back to yours or find some appropriate size tubing yourself. Oh and the front section that goes across where you?re the top of the front screen again slots into pieces of tubing either end of the front section. Hope this helps let me know if you want any info or further details. If you can wait and don?t want to travel down to have a look cause of distance I should be able to get some pic?s. "

Hello all!!

I tried to leave a message with Mark (2quick4u) via Kelly (g/f) last week to say that Carl deserves the cage!!! I didn't expect to be out of hospital so quick and thought it unfair to hold the cage just for me..

Go for it Carl!!!! I wont be on two feet for a while so can't fit it even if I did buy it! Plus I can't drive so won't be able to get an see it!!

Thanks anyhow, just goes to show how gentlemanly this site actually is! I owe you all a beer or two!!
