    Project BMW

Well this is my lastest banger that I paid £200 for. I know I know I was had but there ya go!

With a bit of luck I may be able to fill that little hole in the back?? A little bit of filler and you would never know!

Can you spot the Technical Adjuster tools that we are using to straighten the wings??

Tell me about it!! Those picture were taken before we started last night and the panel is now on! We will hopefully be finishing it off tomorrow.??

Unfortunalely the gargae is my mates and theres not a lot of room there! The S1 on axle stands is my old one. There are also two more escorts lurking around, a notchback VW, 2 309 Gti's and a 205GTi..........phew!

    Re: Project BMW

Mag, I have known of the car for about 5 years as it was a mate who had it! When he smacked it up I took the opportunity to get me mucky little mits on it! I am planning on keeping it as my runaround if all turns out OK with the welding???? If it looks a pig tho I can't see any problems with making a couple of quid out of it!

Guy, £500??? Only kidding mate, if all goes well they will be staying on the car..

    Re: Project BMW

Nice job Kieron, I must admit that when I saw the first pictures I was wondering if it'd be worth the effort - could I have been more wrong?!

Also according to tRevs, the first thing to do to BMW's (the article referred to the M3 E30) is lower them. Apparently a multi-billion pound company hasn't got a clue what its doing whilst ripspeed are well clued up...

    Re: Project BMW

Its a nice cheap runaround for £250 all in!! Defo worth it, even if its just for the experience!

I have already got the lights & number plate in place so all I have left to do is grind the welds back. Filler a little and paint!

I will put some more pictures up after the weekend!

    Re: Project BMW

Just got back from the scrappy and got a few more bits..

Rear bumper, boot catch, bonnet & boot badges, sunroof winder, m-tech gear knob couple of bit of broken trim and a set of headlamp eyebrows. All for £8!!!! I love scrap yards!

Should this rain ever let up I may be able to finish it off!
