Yeah it is very heavy! I have a heavy duty bronze bushed 2.4 rack, twink arb, double width kit, with 2.0degs of negitive camber and the roller bearing top mounts and i am the only one that can drive my car as everyone else finds the steeri g stupidly heavy and worse when you heat the tyres up. I like it with out ps any way, gives you more 'feel' for it.
Didn't mind it 25 years ago !!! I hope there as much fun as I think they used to be lol.
great work.
thanks all
small Xmas update , ap forest 4pots. ap disks and ds3000 pads
also alloy rs hubs studs bearings ect
Fancy alloy hubs for mine ,,
Big Wing sold and gone to be a film star
These are the standard width Rs hubs as I'm running unarched for now . Got all the hub assembly's from race in Stoke . I'm waiting for some Powdercoating to come back then fit rear axle update soon.
That lot looks expensive Alan! I have fitted the Alloy Hubs to my Struts over the Holiday, the Bearings were a tight fit. I need a new pair of Alloy Hub caps now as the std ones are a slack fit. The rear Axle as also been fitted now, so it`s slowly coming along.
Yep way over budget lol, did you do the freezer and oven trick?. Good to hear it's coming along, were you tempted by that set up on eBay?.
I only got tempted by that ap brake set up at the last min as I had princess 4 pots and 260mm disks waiting to go on , now my other son wants them for his road more door.
stuff him ,,lol sell them to me ,,

I had the Hubs in front of the Space Heater and then gentley pressed them in. I am using the Wilwoods for now that came with the Car to keep the costs down.
little update for today
gussets added to panard tower and cleaned up a little. the boot floor is now triple skinned at the mount for the tower, got some more to do to turrets then a bit more seam welding!!. . It seems a very long time ago I was only going to anti tramp it.
It won't win a beauty contest but its hopefully very strong !!.
It's amazing how much a Watts linkage or a Panard rod tower allways want to try remove it's self from the floor it's fitted to
Looking good
Thanks

Does anyone know what's best to use to cut the front plate out of the front spring hanger to fit slipper springs ??.
Big effort coming up to finish the bits of welding off and get it rolling ready for paint and engine built !!.
Looking good, some nice neat work there.....good strengthening, are you using it for forest or tarmac?
Thanks for the comments , it will. Be set up at std ride height with forest springs and bilstiens all round, I'll use it for rough single venues /auto tests and maybe the odd forest event. Updates to come in about a month .
You can seal small holes with metal tape then paint over ,I'll be using sikaflex and tape where I can. I'm not too bothered about high grip track days yet as I'd have to go harder and lower to enjoy. I like the idea of good value gravel /rough auto tests as Freddie does. And duel surface single venue events . I'm planning on going 190-200lb springs , forest bilstien inserts and twin cam arb . 5 leaf slippers on the rear . It will certainly be more than capable than I am to start with on the loose . Oh and I've only done the c pillars as well to try and stop the dust mostly. More to come within 4 weeks !!.
Are you still looking for a straight-cut gearbox? I know where there is a rebuilt 4 speed Tran-x local to you.
Yes if it was at good money and the correct ratios I'd take it, do you want me to text you?
