Sounds like your offside shaft to me, if you've checked everthing else

Re: knock on 4x4 cossie
Have you checked the wheel bearings? Probably is the driveshaft, i had the same thing on the passenger side, the CV joint destroyed itself

Re: knock on 4x4 cossie
I was going to say CV joint. When worn it allows the driveshaft to clonk about a bit. It happened on my mates 2wd cos (from the rear though!)

Re: knock on 4x4 cossie
this is exactly the same as my dads cossie 4x4 sapph
it knocks....very badly every left hand bend on the right and its there when going in a straight line
it was the bottom ball joint on the drivers front that was badly worn....even though it was only 18 month old and the wheel bearing....had started to colapse
the ball joint didnt feel worn until a bar was used to see if there was any play...the tension of the antiroll bar was making it seem like there was no play there
but if you have changed the track control arm then i'd go for a wheel bearing
hope this helps

Re: knock on 4x4 cossie
just found out that the knock hasnt gone from my dads 4x4 either....its not as bad now the ball joint and the wheel bearing has been changed.
however i did notice a small amount of play in the front diff (as in up and down bearing play)....when you rocked the shaft back and forth it knocked as well.....we are now looking at having the diff repaired........hope this helps

Re: knock on 4x4 cossie
Sorry I have to agree with wes the first thing I would look at is the unloaded wheel bearing !

Re: knock on 4x4 cossie
This may sound silly, but are the wheels fouling the calipers? i noticed in your sig the car has 2 different set of wheels in each pic, has the knocking started since you fitted a new set of wheels? Other than that i still recon wheel bearings
