Yea' your right about the fuel being cheaper but ours is not as good as the stuff you guys buy at the pump. Most of the hot street cars over there would ping like hell on our pump gas. I have to buy race fuel to get any where close to the knock rating on U.K. fuel. The xr's tend to be bought because there very cheap and it only takes a couple of hours in a junkyard to drop them into the 13.30's if ya know what to look for.

    More pics!
    More of the yellow Cougar!

I had pretty much made my way around the whole show and was starting back up the hill! God how I hate that hill. Figures they would stick the club I was with as far away from drinking water as possible!

I think this is the engine shot of the durotec stuffed in a Focus.

    Another xr4.

    Lets have a look inside.

This guy drove from Alaska to damn near New York state.
Stop and look at a map of North America and you'll get the idea.

    Those pics are brilliant Marshall!

The thing is over here it's pretty much the "same old same old.." but you guys just come up with the wildest stuff!

I did do a massive response to these posts but due to a nice 1 second power-cut my computer reset itself so my ramblings have been lost forever - suffice it to say:
    a) A Volvo head?
    b) I really like that green one - I've never seen a colour like that before

Keep up the good work chap, I look forward to seeing your next batch!

Re: Pic from U.S. Ford Nats.

Thanks Scott! I took over 300 pics, so there are many more to come. As I'm sure you can tell I like Fords that have a English or Euro. background. Thats the stuff that makes my heart beat fast. The cool thing about the Y. Cougar are the arches. I'm kinda partial to the 2.5 Focus. The damn thing looked factory. Sit back and enjoy! Will have more up over the weekend.

Re: Pic from U.S. Ford Nats.

These are some really good pics + cars. Didn't think there would be that many XR4's over there. You're right about that riced one though, why spoil a car with crap like that on the front?
    Looking forward to more pics..

    Cheers, Gomp.

Re: Pic from U.S. Ford Nats.

Thanks! The total # sold N the States is up around 40,000 from 85-89. The later cars lost the bi-wing and used the 4x4 rear wing. It also used the 4x4 tunnel. the 89's are real rare under 200 made. I bought 1 off some mexicans about 3 years ago. But it was so far gone that I just stripped it to the shell and sent it to the crusher.

Re: Pic from U.S. Ford Nats.

Excellent m8, it's not very often that we get to see a good pics form a ford show outside Europe. Some really interesting stuff there, ie the minted RS500 front bumper, Volvo head as Saphy said is , Don't know about the pickup/convertible, bizarre

    Great pics, keep em coming.
