    My \"360\" conversion.

Finally got all the parts fitted for the "360" conversion.

This is whats been done with it....

T34 hybrid with 360 thrust bearing, 0.48 exhaust housing, cut-back blades and inconel wastegate.
Boost is holding at 1.7bars. Water tank for chargecooler between battery and struttower.

Escort cosworth chargecooler with seperate rad. Many thanks to Graham at GRS who managed to
manufacture a custom made rad in less than a week.

The pump, top right, is from a BMW 535 and only cost me £20 at the scrappy.

Im very happy with the conversion, i didnt expect that the performance would change compared
to running a T3. I just wanted a turbo thats a bit more realiable running high boost so i was very
happy when i discovered the car got some extra pony's in the stable.

    /Andreas

Looking good Andreas My only "concern" is the location of the water tank, very close to the exhaust, do you have space at the front of the engine bay (infront of the coil area) to mount it there? Just a suggestion m8 i'm not having a dig

That carbon fibre cam cover, is that one of GGR's finest and do you have vernier pulleys behind them, as i am thinking of getting one myself but have heard of the covers fouling the verniers and making terrible noises

    Hi Wes,

Perhaps not the most ideal position but the water aint that warm actually, the heatshield protects it and i will put some heat reflecting material on the outside of the tank. Water was below 40c when it was setup and it was above 30c outside.
Pectel monitor was reading 40c for peak ACT and the car had been on idle for 2min when i took that reading.

I shall have a look and see if i can put it somewhere else though, but it aint much space left. Perhaps i should put some reflecting wrap on the hoses that goes to the tank, ive noticed them getting abit warm?

Sorry, i havent got verniers so i can tell, you are right about the cover being a GGR item though.

    /Andreas

Ah i just rembered the heatshield goes quite a way down there, maybe it isn't a problem having it there then, some thermo sleeve for the pipe work is a very good idea, don't want them splitting from heat
