Front bumper finished yesterday, ready to be fitted over the weekend.
Front side windows and hinges.
These hinges took ages to make as the as so small, yet to be polished (this might have to be machine polished given they are so small)
Hopefully fit these over the weekend.
Soooo cool. Keep up the fantastic work and updates
Side window fitted, other side yet to be done:
bloody brilliant
Keep it up.
JP
Fantastic work! Very cool little project.
Front bumper fitted and side exhausts fitted.
starting to take shape now :-)
Another shot of the side exhaust
Love it
Headlights and front indicators fitted.
I also trimmed out the front oval ready for a grill.
That is epic!!!!
Seat inserts and side panels roughed out, these will be finished (smoothed) and then ready for upholstering.
Decided not to use the fiberglass insert that came with the body as the fit was not good.
Just gets better love this project
Congratulations! Fabulous work and skills you got there!
Cheers and keep up,
Mário Santos.

Chassis now finished.
Everything is now removed for powder-coating and polishing :-)
should have it back together for Friday.
I managed to pick up another fibreglass shell, big enough for me this time :-)
Where do you get the shells mate?
Very nice build, I will show the lads down Dax, they will be impressed with your work .
Paul.
That is a seriously cool project, amazing skills
The small blue shell is from Dax sports cars, the larger grey shell is an older one from the USA that I may take a molding from once its cleaned up a bit and a few changes made; front bonnet scope changed, removable boot and bonnet added.
The Dax one is perfect for small children and is a really good finish, I sourced the other one so big kids (me) could also fit :-)
Chassis painted ready for re-assembly tonight
Body Stripes fitted :-)
Looking good bud.
Seat trimming in progress
Doors cards in progress
it just keeps getting better
When I grow up I will have a MK1 Escort
I must be all growed up now then and paying for it!
Chassis is now rolling
(I know the rear wheels are on the wrong side before some smart ass points that out)
