Pics of my 100E resto start to finish

I bought the car in 1991 and finished it in april 2000
It has done only 2000 miles since the pinto puts out 180bhp on twin 48's
My best 1/4 mile time is 14.9 at 95mph it will do better when I get some sticky tyres on it!!

Cool! I love these things, only thing i'm not sure about on yours is the wheels, i think a set of dished split rims would suit it alot more, but the rest is superb, well done

Absolutely lovely m8.I do agree with Wes about the wheels tho. They look a bit too modern for the age of the car.I happen to have a set of 8" wide Lotus steels if you're interested

A few more pics just for clint!!
The first shows the extent of the rot!!

The worst job had to be bare metaling it, Never again, nitromors doesn't half sting!!

With regards to peoples comments on the wheels, cost was a factor and I think in the flesh they suit the car really well.

The car in it's winter home, the boot is not shut hence the look of a badly fitted one!

Re: Pics of my 100E resto start to finish

I think the wheels go because of the paint. If it had been an older/duller colour then yes period alloys would have looked better IMHO. But with the bright paintwork they go with the theme/style of the car!

What is that colour btw?? Looks like Porker Peppermint Green?

The colour is bmw fiji green, the porker colour looks too pale to me, the car was painted in 1999 and still looks fresh today.
