I'm interested in this one, what are the requirements / options at the various power levels on a 2wd cos as well please?
Come on Wes, it's been four minutes already!
Thought the best option diff wise was the Quaif ATB diff internals for around 700 bucks. Just from memory, nothing defo..
But Wes is definately the man for this question...
2wd:
upto 400-ish bhp standard box + diff should be fine
over 400 then rear diff may require attention, cwp tends to be the major problem. Gearbox options, well i think the Tremec gearbox is the way to go.
4wd:
upto 350 ish bhp standard should be ok, depends how you drive it!
over 400 bhp, gearbox is a major problem, R+D gearbox or quaife, take your pick but expensive! Diffs, quaife ATB front + rear is what i use, centre diff is very tough so leave alone.
Also the front o/s driveshaft (only if lowered more than 25mm) can cause probs. Competition engine mounts a must at this power level
Shut it MR PERFECT, some of us have to actually work when we are at workCome on Wes, it's been four minutes already!
So do I, just so happens I'm off illsome of us have to actually work when we are at work
Corr, you really are a picky so n so
well i'm in pain but i'm still at work......
What's that then?cwp tends to be the major problem.
Where do I find out about that? (Just curious)Gearbox options, well i think the Tremec gearbox is the way to go.
mines a 4x4 so looks like i got plenty to change.
whos best to contact for engine mounts box n'diffs
cheers
Shouldn't that be "well i'm a pain but i'm still at work......"
Seriously, wassup chap?
I've got a virus, which is manifesting itself as a flu/cold with regular sessions. Nice.

Clint posted a link to the Tremec website sometime ago, but i have no idea what the address is. Rod Tarry uses a Tremec gearkit in his 500+ BHP saff so i think it will be tough enough for most
Vibra technics engine mounts available from Burtons.
Quaife diffs, can get them from Burtons, but you can send your diffs to quaife and they will fit the ATB's for you.
Well, last monday (31 march, my birthday) I was riding to work and some silly bitch in a volovo estate pulled out infront of me, i did some air swimming and landed on my back, in hospital for a few hours being x-rayed, but nothing broken, my laptop stoped me getting any broken ribs, but i've got loads of internal brusing, it wasn't so bad last week but now it really hurts Motorbike is gonna be a write off i reckon, and now the weather is getting better i'm stuck with getting the tube to work until it all gets sorted out, doubleShouldn't that be "well i'm a pain but i'm still at work......"
Seriously, wassup chap?

Feck me mate! On your birthday as well
Hope you get well soon mate. I'm just glad things aren't worse.
i'll live, i hope, but the bike is on death row, has made me think about getting another one though, i really was only doing 30 mph at the time, i was lucky
And there's me looking at getting one next year
i got hit by a metro. Only had my bike 6 weeks GSXR 750, not sure if i'll ever have another. Too much traffic for them to be safe now
i have a gsxr 750 too (SRAD type), silly really i've done some really serious speeds on it and then i get knocked off doing sensible stuff, thats what made me think about it, if that had happened at higher speeds i may not be here now
i had the same bought it new in 1998 S reg, awsome, was black red and silver
mine was purple / grey, click here to see some pics pre smash....
We have just picked up a nice Quaife big tooth Group N box for my Dads....will worry about the diffs when they break!
Wes - yep same model as mine, Mental thing.
Whats the cost of a decent box that'll take a few track days?
cheers
£2.5k from R+D all up, thats for one of their uprated gearkits, standard ratios, not straight cut but cut more than helical gears, does whine in all gears apart from 4th (direct drive gear) but it sound well cool
Got the Quaife for 2K!
cheers
It all comes down to driving behaviour..simple as that....4x4 is for girls, thats why everything is so fragile..ROFL.
I have opted for an uprated Diff and a Tremec gearbox for my 3 Door
